DESCRIPTION:Summer Social Club is your chance to build community\, make new friends\, and create weekly fun—your way. Hosted by Northeast Opportunities for Wellness (NOW) and TEEG\, this small group experience gives you space to explore your personal interests and hobbies\, then team up to plan and host fun social activities for fellow club members. \n\n\n\nWhat “social” means is totally up to you—maybe it’s cooking together\, brewing tea\, talking trains\, and playing games\, or something else entirely. This clinic will teach children the basics of Mountain Biking and end with a group ride! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEvent Details \n\n\n\nDate: \n\n\n\n\nSaturday\, July 12\, 2025\n\n\n\n10:00 AM- 12:30 PM\n\n\n\n\nLocation: \n\n\n\n\nPomfret Recreation Park\n\n576 Hampton Rd.\, Pomfret Center\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSchedule of Events: \n\n\n\n\n10:00 AM- 11:00 AM -Kids will rotate through a series of cycle stations learning different mountain bike skills\n\n\n\n11:00 AM- 12:00 PM – NEMBA volunteers will lead a group ride\n\n\n\n12:00 PM- 12:30 PM- Lunch (NOW will provide free lunch)\n\n\n\n\nRequired Materials: \n\n\n\n\nBring you own bike (extra bikes and helmets will not be provided or available to use)\n\n\n\nBring your own helmet & safety gear (safety gear will not be provided and you must wear a helmet to ride)\n\n\n\nWear sneakers and athletic clothing \n\n\n\nPlease bring your own water\, sunscreen\, and bug repellent
