NOW Receives $500 Donation from CorePlus Credit Union Employee Charitable Fund

Norwich – On Wednesday, August 12th, NOW Executive Director Sarah C Wolfburg was presented a $500 donation by CorePlus Credit Union CEO Nicholas Fortson and EVP/COO Ray Currier at the credit union’s main office. The donation was made possible through the CorePlus Employee Charitable Fund.

In July of 2020, Elizabeth Zachow-Deary, Manager of Marketing and Student Services with CorePlus, reached out to local non-profits, noting that employees of the various credit union branches were looking for community charitable opportunities. Executive Director Sarah Wolfburg shared her appreciation to the employees for choosing NOW as a recipient of their charitable fund, “Like so many other non-profits, this has been a very challenging year and this donation could not have come at a better time. We are so thankful for the continued support of CorePlus; this donation will greatly assist us as we work to preserve our mission of health and wellness in our community.”

NOW is a non-profit human services organization focused on youth wellness. NOW provides children with the opportunity to participate in area wellness activities and athletics programs, offering scholarships to the youth of the community with up to 95% of the cost being subsidized by NOW. The mission of the organization is to provide ALL children, regardless of financial resources, equal opportunities to achieve & maintain youth wellness, beginning at an early age.
