Quiet Corner PeaceJam Soles4Souls Shoe Drive Project

Quiet Corner PeaceJam is a group of dedicated students in grades 5th – 8th. The goal of PeaceJam is to inspire a new generation of leaders who will transform themselves, their local communities, and the world through act’s of service, compassion, and one billion acts of kindness.

What is Soles4Souls? The mission of Soles4Souls is to turn unwanted shoes and clothing into opportunities, by keeping them from going to waste and putting them to good use – providing relief, creating jobs and empowering people to break the cycle of poverty. The goal of our shoe drive is to collect 2,500 pairs of new or gently used shoes from March 15th to July 1st. We have collaborated with several community partners for this drive and donations

How Can I Make a Monetary Donation? You can use the yellow “Donate” button below to make a monetary donation to our Soles4Souls project and we will purchase new shoes with your donation!

Soles4Souls Upcoming Events:

• Car Wash: Join us on May 27, 2022 at Pomfret Community School (20 Pomfret Street Pomfret, CT) from 2:00-6:00 PM. Community members can get their car washed by our PeaceJam Students for a monetary donation or a pair of new/gently used shoes. Cars that donate $5.00 or more will receive some Quiet Corner PeaceJam merch.
• Fun Run: Join us on June 25, 2022 for a 1 mile Kids Fun Run starting at the Putnam Lions Memorial Dog Park on Kennedy Drive in Putnam, CT. The time of the Fun Run is from 10:00-11:00 AM. Young people can register for this event under the PeaceJam Fun Run Event Tab on the NOW website (www.NOWinMotion.org/events) or register the day of. The entry fee for the run is a pair of new/gently used shoes.
