Each child’s early experience in athletics is an opportunity to build competence and develop skills that support healthy self-esteem and a growing sense of oneself in a larger community. Sports competition provides each child the many lessons of losing and winning. The discipline, shared sacrifice and joy of teamwork help each child to learn about personal balance as they begin to see the world beyond simply “me.”

NOW Sports seeks to support equal opportunity access for CT area children at an early age so that they may have the athletic training and coaching, and the health and wellness resources that will encourage life-long learning around sports. We seek to support each and every child’s emotional well-being and physical development in every athletic program, clinic, event, or team we sponsor. We believe winning isn’t only found on the scoreboard; it is found in developing a child’s forthright and ethical character based upon our expectations of fair play and outstanding sportsmanship.

Happy Easter from NOW! 🐣🥕

Since our founding in 2011, NOW has been governed by an all-volunteer board of directors from across the 10-town area of northeastern Connecticut. Our programs are made possible through their support, as well as the hard work and dedication of our executive director and program facilitators.

As a Connecticut non-profit (501-c-3) organization, NOW depends on community support to provide more than 500 children per year with vital access to fitness, sports and nutrition resources each year – not to mention lots of friendships and FUN!

This would not be possible without the support of local businesses, organizations and community members like you! Your donation of time, funding or resources can make a real difference in the health and happiness of local children.
